Abdullah Dawood Akhawala - Chairman/Founder Partner
Mr. Abdullah Dawood Akhawala is the Founder and Chairman of A.D. Akhawala & Co. He began his career in 1965 with Ford Rhodes Robson Morrow, Chartered Accountants (a member firm of Ernst & Young International), where he completed his audit training. He became an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) in 1967 and was admitted as a fellow member in 1972.
Before establishing his own practice in 1976, Mr. Akhawala spent nine years in senior positions across various industries in both the public and government sectors. With over 50 years of post-qualification experience, he has developed extensive expertise in tax planning, corporate and personal income tax advisory, tax assessment finalization, and representation at appeal forums.
As a seasoned management consultant, he has led numerous financial and economic feasibility studies, viability assessments, project financing initiatives, and the development and implementation of accounting and internal control systems. His work also includes preparing accounting and procedural manuals tailored to diverse business needs.
With over five decades of experience in assurance services, Mr. Akhawala has provided expert guidance to private and public sector companies, staying updated with international accounting and auditing standards.
Beyond his technical expertise, he possesses strong marketing and public relations skills, having engaged with top executives, senior government officials, and regulatory authorities throughout his career. |
